Angela made her directorial debut in 2013, with her first short film, “Last Call”, starring the young talents, Erica Juliet and Justin Orton. 

Next Angela produced and directed a short documentary on the Artist Betye Saar. It premiered at the San Diego Black Film Festival and was nominated for Best Cutting Edge Short, and eventually screened at the MacDowell Art Colony Library when Betye won the MacDowell Award for Art in 2014.

In her third foray into directing, Angela starred, wrote and directed the short silent film “Sunset & Neverland”, which premiered at the Action On Film International Film Festival.

In 2015, Angela really hit her stride. She directed and produced “Wish Me Luck” starring Marie Victoria Ray and Kelly Tighe. It premiered at the San Diego Black Film Festival to audience approval.

Angela’s new passion project is “Curtsy, Mister”, a documentary based on the life story of Ronnie Grant, the former men's fashion editor of Essence Magazine and a survivor of the roaring 70's, 80's, and 90's. The film premiered summer 2017 at the Harlem International Film Festival and won the Audience Award. It is continuing to screen and win awards at film festivals all over the world.
